Five people founded Dominion: Aster, Mystic, Rhyss, Dolan, and Christobel. They were all part of KCD (the Kingdom of the Crimson Dawn or Kansas City Dagorhir). During the fall of 2001 Aster changed jobs and was not able to meet on Saturday’s with KCD. So he decided to start a new realm that met on Sunday’s. Mystic, Rhyss, Dolan, and Christobel wanted to be part of this new realm and helped Aster Start the Dominion of the Unconquered Sun.
Dominion held its first practice November 11, 2001.
In December 2001 the First Lord of the Rings movie was released. Aster and Dolan went to the Midnight showing in garb to advertise the Dominion. There they met Gabriel. The next week Gabriel came to practice and enjoyed it so much he brought Orin. Later Gabriel would be given the challenge of starting the first Dominion Unit with a Lance of 4 fighters. This Unit became the Myrkridian Infantry.
The summer of 2002, The Dominion went to its first Ragnarok. There were 6 people representing the Dominion. During that week Dagmar, the leader of KCD, knighted Aster. Dominion had its first Knighting. Rhyss, and Dolan were Knighted, Mystic was made Lady of the Court, Sejen was squired to Dolan and Isabeau was made Lady of the Rose. The rest of Dagorhir learned that The Dominion of the Unconquered Sun. was not part of KCD. When they would ask whom we were with they said, “Oh, you are part of KCD.” We told them that we were close in location to KCD, but we were our own realm.
In October 2002, at KCD’s Altair, the Dominion took 18 people. Christobel was made Lady of the Court, Gabriel was squired to Rhyss, and Orin was made Page.
KCD held a Christmas Feast and Woods Battle December 15th, 2002, Dominion had 15 people in attendance. During the Christmas feast Dolan named Aster and Mystic the King and Queen of the Dominion.
In 2003, the realm of Dominion Started Growing. We took 24 People to Ragnarok. Gump was Knighted and Kaine and Red were both made Pages of the realm. This time when people asked who we were with they would say “Oh you are part of The Dominion. This is the year the Myrkridian Infantry protected the Dominion Banner from the Dominion Knights and Ladies. By protecting the banner they earned the Right to be the Royal Guard and get the Crown in their tabards. Note: this is the only symbol allowed on the tabards. Ask the Myrkridian Infantry sometime about what Aster means by “Don’t Poke the Bear”.
This year Dominion had 39 people at KCD’s Altair. Dolan made Aster a Dominion Knight, Kaine was squired to Aster, Orin and Red were squired to Gump, Faraday was made a Lady in Waiting to Mystic. Padraig was made a page.
KCD held a 2nd Christmas Feast November 23, 2003. Dominion took 40 people to the feast. This was the event that Lucifer won the Tournament and along with the rest of the Myrkridian Infantry presented the Prize Sword to King Aster.
